Women aged 15-44 are more likely to be maimed or die from male violence than cancer, malaria, traffic accidents, and war combined."
Feminist talk at Students For Liberty’s 2013 Austin Regional Conference and why feminism is not outdated (via cuntcastle)
& some women - women of color, trans women, disabled women, poor women - are MUCH more likely to experience violence than white/cis/abled/class privileged women (and marginalized women have less recourse in the legal system to have anything done about the violence done to them.)
All women exist in a culture with a specter of violence surrounding them at every turn, but let’s not let aggregate level statistics allow us to believe that we face equal risks.
but no no, feminism is no longer relevant, amirite?
I’ve no reason not to believe this, but I’d still like to see a source.

It’s 5am and I can’t sleep because I’m lonely
what the fuck is wrong with u people if a person wants to wear a grandpa sweater and a flowercrown while drinking a pumpkin spice latte fucking let them live their life the last thing they probably need is your broke judgmental ass giving them hella negative vibes cause you don’t like their life choices bye
Last night I couldn’t sleep. I kept thinking about death; how once I’ve died there will be no more thoughts, no more awareness, no more anything. The idea of that should seem peaceful to me, but it terrifies me. It terrifies me because I can’t imagine ever not waking up. When I finally did go to sleep I had a dream that I was about to die, somebody was going to kill me. I ran from them and kept running and running until eventually I realised the attempt was futile, they were getting closer to me every second. So I gave up and allowed them to kill me. I woke up just before this happened. After having had this dream I have a lot more respect for my mind. It’s like it was trying to teach me something. To not fear death but accept it when the time is right. To ‘greet Death like an old friend’ like the third brother from The Deathly Hallows story. Or maybe my mind just misses Harry Potter to the point where its philosophies are dominating my subconscious.
